We respect your privacy. LegacyNotes does not sell or share your data for advertising purposes. All information you store within the app is kept private to your account and only shared when you explicitly choose to do so. Data is stored securely and is never transmitted to third parties except for the services you choose to use (e.g., iCloud).

PerpetualLetters

This Privacy Policy explains how PerpetualWishes ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information in the PerpetualLetters iOS app. For questions, contact letters@perpetualwishes.com.

Summary

• We do not run our own backend servers. The App uses Apple services (iCloud/CloudKit, App Store/StoreKit, Push) to operate.
• We do not sell or share your data for advertising.
• Letter content is your private data. We do not access or transmit it to any third party other than Apple services you choose to use.
• Optional in-app analytics (off by default unless you enable it) records metadata only and is stored locally on your device.

What data the App processes

You provide: Letter content and media; recipient details; Apple account info managed by Apple.

Generated by your use: Scheduling/status; local vault index.

Optional analytics: If enabled, anonymous metadata-only logs stored locally on your device.

Where data is stored and processed

• On device: Cached content encrypted at rest with keys in iOS Keychain.
• iCloud/CloudKit: Private and shared iCloud databases managed by Apple.
• Apple services only; no third-party servers.

How we use data

Provide core features; maintain reliability; improve the App via optional analytics.

Sharing of information

Your shares via CloudKit grant access to recipients you designate. We do not sell or use your info for advertising.

Security

• On-device AES-GCM (256-bit) with keys in Keychain.
• Optional passphrase encryption for text letters before upload.
• Apple CloudKit security; encryption in transit and at rest.

Your choices and controls

Enable/disable analytics; recall shares; control permissions; clear cached content.

Data retention

Letters remain in iCloud until deleted. Local caches managed by the App. Analytics logs remain until you clear them.

Children’s privacy

Not directed to children under 13 without applicable consent.

International use

CloudKit data stored/processed by Apple per their regional policies.
